Memphis, TN (WREG) – The tragic shooting death of an emerging Memphis rapper has been confirmed by his manager. The artist, known as Casino Jizzle and born Robert Tunstall, was fatally shot on July 4 in northeast Memphis on Goldbrier Lane, as reported by Angie Strange, his manager.
The Memphis Police have yet to officially identify the victim in this shooting incident. However, on Wednesday, they issued an arrest warrant for Michael Clayton, aged 27, charging him with First Degree Murder in connection with the Goldbrier homicide.
Casino Jizzle, an unsigned artist according to his Facebook page, had been preparing for the release of his new album titled “Duh” on Friday. This unfortunate event occurred just days before his much-anticipated debut.
It is worth noting that Casino Jizzle had previously suffered critical injuries in a shooting outside a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Cordova back in 2019.
Hailing from Tennessee’s Hip Hop scene, Casino Jizzle was among the most promising talents, but his untimely demise robbed him of his big break.
Following the news, Casino Jizzle’s partner and mother of his child, Brianna Hollins, took to Facebook on Wednesday to express her grief and pay tribute to him. In her heartfelt post, she wrote, “I’m lost without you, swear to God!! I know it was me over anybody, so I’m going to let the internet trolls cause you didn’t even fw [fuck with] mfers who are posting… I knew everything and saw. MFA [Motherfucker] knew you loved Nunu ’til death over whoever!!! I need you bad!! Come home.”
